1,500-lb Capacity. Upgrade your rear suspension by installing these helper leaf springs above your vehicle's factory leaf springs. They significantly reduce sway and prevent sagging, which is perfect for towing or hauling heavy loads.

Features:

  • Reinforce your vehicle's rear suspension with extra leaf springs that prevent sagging and reduce sway by up to 30 percent
    • Work like sway bars to stabilize your OEM springs and keep them from twisting
    • Compensate for windy conditions, wind turbulence from big rigs, and weight shifts from cornering
    • Lift your truck when you are carrying a heavy load and prevent bottoming out
  • Adjust automatically to your payload
    • Rollers on each end of the SuperSprings activate when the OEM springs flex under load
    • Rollers deactivate when OEM springs aren't under load
  • Can be customized - the shackles attaching the SuperSprings provide several options for installation
    • Choose a setting that increases load support and ride height for constant heavy loads or to compensate for minor spring fatigue in an older automobile
    • Choose a setting that maintains the original factory ride conditions and minimizes effect on unloaded ride quality and height
    • Choose a medium setting that balances support, height, and ride comfort
  • Install easily - bolt on above your existing factory springs with no drilling required
    • For some models with factory springs that sit above the axle, the included poly spring pads prevent shifting
    • Dense polyurethane blocks seat between the top of the factory springs and the underside of the SuperSprings
  • Require no maintenance - no tubing or air pressure to monitor or adjust like air springs
  • Extend the life of brakes, tires, and factory suspension
  • Made in the USA

SuperSprings diagram of roller and shackle system for extra leaf spring

These additional leaf springs add support and sway control to your existing OEM suspension. Just bolt on SuperSprings over your existing factory springs, and they automatically work when you need them. As the factory spring flexes, a roller at each end of the beefy helper spring reacts to engage the helper spring and to provide extra support. The springs help to better distribute cargo weight throughout your existing suspension, channeling that weight to the points on the frame that are designed to support heavy loads.

SuperSprings leaf spring installed on a vehicle

Placing these leaf springs above your factory springs helps to keep your OEM springs from twisting, so the SuperSprings act like a sway bar, reducing the body roll that makes driving more difficult and dangerous. With these helper springs, driving is safer and easier when it's windy, when your vehicle is rocked by a passing semi, and when you are cornering. The springs help to reduce sway by up to 30 percent. SuperSprings also allow more wheel travel in the rear suspension when they are under load, so they maintain traction and ride comfort better than rubber or polyurethane bumpers. That means they're great for drivers who frequently tow.

Truck before SuperSpringsTruck after SuperSprings

You can also customize the level of support provided by SuperSprings. For most models, the shackles that attach the helper leaf springs to your existing leaf springs have several installation options:

  • For greater support and ride height when your suspension is under a constant load or if you have an older automobile with some spring fatigue, install the helper springs using the upper bolt holes
  • To maintain the factory ride and reduce the effect on your ride height, install using the lower bolt holes
  • To balance support, height, and ride comfort, install using the upper hole on one end and the lower hole on the other

SuperSprings are a maintenance-free, low-cost alternative to air spring systems, which require constant monitoring and air pressure adjustment. These helper leaf springs respond automatically to the load you carry, so there is no crawling under your truck to adjust them. You'll also reduce wear and tear on your suspension, brakes, and tires, which saves you money. The bolt-on installation means that they are easy to fit - no drilling required.

  • Comparing SumoSprings, SuperSprings, RAS, and Air Bags for 2019 Ford F-150
The RoadActive Suspension (RAS) Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit part # RAS3611-Y is what I recommend for a 2019 Ford F-150. The RAS Kit unlike the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-117-47 will engage right away so you don't have to reach a threshold before the support kicks. Therefore, they will do a better job of reducing sag/squat. In comparison to the SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit part # SSA28, The RAS Kit can be adjusted and offers...

  • Difference Between Timbren And SuperSprings Suspension Stabilizer For 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 4WD
So the difference between the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TGMRCK15S and SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit # SSA28 are the benefits they offer and what you are looking to get out of an enhancement system. The Timbrens # TGMRCK15S are jounce springs and how they work is simple but effective. When you have additional weight at the rear of your truck, like when towing, it will sag, causing the front of the truck to rise. This causes your front...

  • Recommended Mechanical Suspension Enhancement for 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
It sounds like your weight distribution system is working well and you just need some suspension support on your 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500. I don't recommend the leaf springs you referenced but rather the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit - Heavy Duty # RAS54FR. This is a mechanical system like the leaf spring system you referenced but this system allows you to fine tune adjust your ride and once set to your desired feel leave it alone as you will only engage the...

  • Best Suspension Enhancement for 2018 Ford F-150 Towing with Weight Distribution
The best suspension enhancement we offer for your 2018 Ford F-150 that is towing would be the RoadActive Suspension kit part # RAS3611-YHD. This will give you the support to prevent the porpoising, will improve ride quality and stability, and will reduce suspension sag as well. Other similar options might provide additional support but they will make the ride quality harsher. You will need to reset your weight distribution setup after installing this kit though.

  • Suspension Enhancement for 2018 Ford F-150 With 6 Inch Lift
I am not familiar with the Pro Comp kit; I did look it up and from the installation manual it seems like all parts of the rear suspension were affected. Can you confirm if there is any type of interference with the leaf spring? Your only option is going to be a kit that attaches above the factory leaf spring but if there is interference of any kind then it would not be a fit.

  • Installation of SuperSprings SSA28 on a 2016 Ford F-150 4x4
The SuperSpings that fit your 2016 Ford F-150 4x4 are # SSA28. Installation is not difficult though the one customer that had a problem with spring orientation is right: they only go on one way. But it is easy to figure out because if a spring is going on properly you would just flip it the other way to the proper orientation. I have linked the instructions so you can see what all is involved.

  • Are SumoSpring Solo Custom Helper Springs A Fit For A 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2
Hi Edward, The SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SS65FR is listed as not a fit for Trail Boss or ZR2 models so you would want to swap out those jounce springs for the SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit # SSA28. This would sit over the factory leaf springs and only engage as weight is added to the rear suspension, which will prevent a stiff ride when you're unloaded. The other jounce spring options for your Silverado are all waaaaaay too high in capacity...

  • Is There A Spacer Kit For SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs To Fit A 4" Suspension Lift
SumoSprings Solo Helper Springs unfortunately aren't really designed for lifted trucks and the manufacturer only recommends using up to a 2" spacer so the # SS65FR isn't going to be the best solution for you. Instead you'll want to go with an option like the SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit # SSA28. This attaches to the leaf springs and provides extra support for your suspension to prevent sag and reduce sway, without compromising ride quality.

The SuperSprings Mounting Kit for OEM Leaf Springs Above the Axle # MXKT is designed to be used with a SuperSpring Custom Suspension like the # SSA28 and allows you to mount the springs above the axles instead of below them with the rest of the leaf spring pack. These springs are designed for a truck and not a trailer, so it's really not going to be a solution that would work for you. The RAS systems like # RAS4611 are widely considered to be the best suspension enhancement you can install on a truck towing a trailer. • Recommended Sway Control for Towable Ice Fishing House
This is a pretty common occurrence for newer 1/2 ton trucks. Due to their customer's demands for a more-car like ride featuring a softer rear suspension, the handling while towing suffers. If you're transporting the ice fishing house on a trailer, you can use a weight distribution system along with a sway control system. If the tongue weight of the trailer is under 800 lbs, I'd go with the Curt # C17051 along with a friction sway control unit like # 17200. If the ice house has its own...

  • Can I use Super Springs with a Weight Distribution System
Suspension enhancement systems, like the Super Springs # SSA28, can be used with weight distribution systems. However, Super Springs may not have much of an effect because a weight distribution system is going to be more effective at reducing sag and distributing the tongue weight. However, if you are getting a lot of sag, a weight distribution system is the best solution. If you still have sag after setting up a weight distribution system, I recommend double checking how much tongue weight...

A C-clamp is listed in the instructions as a needed tool for installation. The clamp comes into play when installing the rear shackle of the SuperSpring. • Recommended Rear Suspension Enhancement for 2019 Ford F-150 to Replace Stiff Bump Stops
Because the Timbren suspension systems like the # TFRTT1504E you installed operate more as a longer bump stop, driving in conditions like you've mentioned and with the spring not engaged to the axle while under load, you're going to get a bumpier ride. The important thing to consider when you are choosing between the 2,000 lb SuperSprings or the 3,000 lb SuperSprings, # SSA28, is the GVW of your truck when it is fully loaded and hooked to your trailer.
